Abstract

This article brings forth the conceptual bases for 5th generation warfare in the larger
context of hybrid warfare. Contextualizing the use of cyber space to create situations
preferable to the adversaries’ intentions or goals in the boarder mass audience.
Employing the social media driven by robot technology (BoT technology) and cultural
hegemony to create perceptions and narratives distorted or mutated in nature to attack
or counter one’s state without physically entering ones’ geographical boundaries. This
article focuses on Facebook and traces of Twitter, in the case of how technological
strong states use this type of warfare to win mass audiences for their support or move
them in favor of their own created perceptions thereby eliminating all oppositions
towards their belligerent actions and interventions.
