Author's Guidelines

Author must:
1. Submit manuscript electronically in MS Word format and 1.5-spaced throughout
including text, displayed quotations, notes, references, and appendices etc. on
8.5 x 11-inch or A4-sized sheets of standard paper.
2. Use Times New Roman font, 11-point size, and 1-inch/2.5-centimeter margins
on all sides.
3. Provide, on the title page, their short profile including name, designation and
academic and research achievements, institutional affiliations and complete
postal and e-mail addresses. Please use official or institutional email id, if
available.
4. Articles should be between 5,000 and 7,000 words. All articles must be
accompanied by an abstract of 150-180 words followed by 6-8 keywords.
5. Should number footnotes, if any, serially.
6. Should use British English and spellings throughout; they must use universal “s”
in “-ise”, “-isation” words (except in quotations and proper names, where ‘-ize’, ‘-
ization’ must be retained).
7. Should use double quotes throughout the manuscript. Single quotes marks are
used only within double quotes, to indicate a quotation within a quotation.
Spellings of words in quotations should not be changed. Quotations of more than
40 words should be separated from the text and indented with one space with a
line space above and below.
8. Should use expressions such as ‘nineteenth century’ and ‘1980s’. Numbers from
one to nine are to be spelt out; 10 and above are to remain in figures. However,
for exact measurements, only figures are to be used (e.g., 3 km, 9 per
cent, not %). Authors should use globally accepted expressions such as
thousands and millions, not lakhs and crores.
9. Should minimize the use of italics, but when required, use consistently. Non-
English words should be placed in italics.
10. Should indicate tables and figures in text by numbers (e.g., see Table 1), and not
by position (e.g., see Table below). Position of each table and figure in the text
must be indicated with an insertion: “Insert table/figure no. about here.” Present
each table and figure on a separate page at the end of the article.
11. Should give single-spaced references at the end of the article. The author’s
surname should come first, followed by the author's name. If more than one
publication by the same author are listed, the items should appear in
chronological order in the references.

12. Citations and References should adhere to the guidelines given in the
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition.
